Expanded Medical Care Model
|
At proctorMD, we believe that medical care should be built on a real relationship with your personal primary care physician. You can feel confident that you are getting advice you can trust from a doctor who knows you, has time for you, and is there for you on every step of your healthcare journey.
By paying an annual administrative fee, you are joining our team of experienced physicians and opening up multiple options for care. Corporate medicine focuses on the in-office appointment, which runs on a tight schedule and significantly limits the time doctors are able to spend with patients. The administrative fee adds a buffer for opening up modes of care - here are options to communicate and connect with us via text, email, phone, and video visits - whatever is appropriate for the situation. Doctors who practice in an expanded-care model accept fewer patients (our practice will limit patient panel to 400-500 patients, rather than the 1,500 - 2,000 typical in corporate primary care medical practices). This gives us more time to spend with patients, to get to know their medical history, and to be available for more extended contact. In addition to our annual administrative fee, we will be billing your insurance as typical “fee for service” doctors do, including copays.
Internal medicine physicians do primary care for adults, 18 y/o and older. We do everything from routine physicals and preventive care, diagnosing and treating minor conditions and complex illnesses. We specialize in managing chronic medical conditions and coordinating with specialists.
